Local residents and supporters recently came together to raise funds for Dorset Search and Rescue at a community fundraising event.
The event featured stalls, refreshments and activities for families, helping to raise both funds and awareness for the work carried out by the volunteer team.
DORSAR receives no direct government funding and relies heavily on donations and community support to maintain its operations. Funds raised help cover the cost of specialist equipment, training, vehicles and safety gear used during searches.
Team members were also on hand to speak with visitors about how search operations work and how volunteers assist police in locating vulnerable missing people.
The organisation would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered and contributed to making the event such a success.
